Installing Ez publish

Ez Publish is a CMS (Content Managment System)

This product is extremley rich in functionality but requires a good amount of based set up.  It is best to install it on Debian 5.0

It requires PHP, MySQL ……………

MYSQL Installation

apt-get mysql-server

This may produce some errors, depending on what you installed when the OS was loaded. For my installation I needed the following:

dsyslog-module-mysql: Depends: dsyslog (= 0.3.0) but it is not going to be installed
libnss-mysql: Conflicts: libnss-mysql-bg but 1.5-1+b1 is to be installed
libnss-mysql-bg: Conflicts: libnss-mysql but 1.0-4 is to be installed
postfix-mysql: Depends: postfix (= 2.5.5-1.1) but it is not going to be installed
proftpd-mod-mysql: Depends: proftpd-basic (= 1.3.1-17lenny4) but it is not going to be installed

apt-get install dsyslog-module-mysql

apt-get install libnss-mysql

apt-get install postfix

apt-get install postfix-mysql

apt-get install proftpd-mod-mysql

apt-get install libghc6-hsql-mysql-dev

PHP 5.3 Installation

Do not use this

apt-get install php*

as PHP requires additional components adding download the source code and compile by hand

Download the latest version off PHP

wget http://uk2.php.net/get/php-5.3.2.tar.gz/from/uk.php.net/mirror

Packages also also required

apt-get install zlib*

apt-get install imagemagick

apt-get install libxml*

./configure –with-mysql=/usr/bin/mysql –with-mysqli=mysqlnd –with-pdo-mysql=mysqlnd –with-zlib –enable-exif

./configure -with-mysql=/usr -with-mysqli=/usr/bin/mysql_config -with-curl=/usr/bin -with-curlwrappers -with-openssl-dir=/usr -with-zlib-dir=/usr -with-pdo-mysql=/usr -with-xsl=/usr -with-ldap -with-xmlrpc -with-iconv-dir=/usr -enable-exif -enable-calendar -with-jpeg-dir=/usr -with-png-dir=/usr -with-zlib-dir=/usr -enable-zip -prefix=/usr/php -with-imagick
